Antenatal Program & Pregnancy Yoga

Garbh Sanskar Garbha sanskar is a Sanskrit term, which literally means 'education in the womb'. It is traditionally believed that a child's mental and behavioural development starts as soon as he is conceived. His personality begins to take shape in the womb, and this can be influenced by the mother's state of mind during pregnancy. Traditionally, it is believed that baby starts learning right from the womb. Science has also proved that baby can learn from initial stage. We know the famous stories of Abhimanyu in Mahabharat , Balbhakt Prahalad, Shivaji etc are good example of Garbh Sanskar. Baby listen to the mother feelings, emotions thus a positive thinking and attitude help in better development of baby. The advantages of Garbh Sanskar are not only we educate our child but there is development of bond between the mother and the child. It is proved that maximum physical and mental developments occur during nine months. Thus special efforts of Garbh Sanskar are taken for maximum maturity and for stimulation of baby‘s senses. Garbh Sanskar process not only benefits unborn baby but also has immense benefits for mother too. Qualities seen in kids born after Garbh sanskar • Development of milestones like head holding, head moving sentence making etc are achieved prior to other children • Qualities include creative mind, less stubborn, calm, confident, courageous, bold, serving attitude, loving and happy. • Good blend of all the five intelligence like physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual. • Protects baby from negative energies. • Improves immune system. • Healthy baby at the time of birth. In case of history of hereditary diseases in family, Garbh Sanskar process mitigates the risk of disease to a greater extent if started during planning phase with full devotion. Benefits to would be mother • Positive state of mind throughout pregnancy • Enhances chances of normal delivery • Good health of mother during and after delivery • Pregnancy occurs very smoothly without any complication • Pregnancy becomes enjoyable experience. Steps of Garbh Sanskar 1. Pre conception aspect (Beej shuddhi) 2. Ante natal (post conception) aspect (Garbhini Paricharya) 3. Post natal aspect (Sootika Paricharya) 4. Traditional way of child development with Sanskar (Suvarnprashan) Preconception Aspect (Beej shuddhi) "Pregnancy should be by choice not by chance" If couples want to get best progeny, Garbh sanskar starts from before conception. It is called Beej Shuddhi it is done to overcome any defect in ovum and semen and to purify the body (womb) by Panchakarma and Medication. Panchakarma is a deep cleansing procedure of body at cellular level in which vitiated Doshas of the body and accumulated toxins are removed from the body. It emphasizes on preventative and healing therapies along with various methods of purification and rejuvenation. It helps achieve a balanced state of body, mind and consciousness through detoxification and rejuvenation. This is similar to farming where proper preparation and good quality seeds are required to get optimum results and better fruits. Pranayam, meditation, proper diet and lifestyle, chanting mantras and positive thinking along with this plays vital role. Antenatal care ( Garbhini paricharya) In pregnancy health is not in usual condition here lady is nurturing two lives. So only consuming diet is not sufficient here the issue is to make a special effort to take care of and give birth to a child with excellent qualities. 1. Masanumasik Aahar- The pregnanant women need special diet during this special time. First of all pregnant women should have maximum use of cow milk and its preparation. Special diet for each month is sugested as per organ development, common complains and specific body needs. 2. Yoga and Pranayama- Yoga provides holistic health benefits for to be mother. During pregnancy body goes through many changes, which creates stress on mother mentally and physically Yoga helps to maintain a healthy mind and body. It increases strength and flexibility of muscles. Yoga and Pranayama train mother to breathe deeply and relax consciously, helping the mother face the demand of labour and child birth. It helps to reduce frequent pregnancy complains such as morning sickness, leg cramps, swollen feet and constipation. 3. Meditation with Garbhsamvad- Garbhsamvad is a unique technique of Garbh Sanskar where mother deeply connects and communicate with the unborn baby. In Garbhsamvad positive emotions are passed through mother to create impression in the form of good teaching at the sub conscious mind of the baby. This enhances all the five intelligences like physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual. 4. Music- Music has significant influence on both the unborn baby as well as on the pregnant women. It improves the unborn baby’s reflexes, responses, movement and mental stimulation. And also had calming and positive effects on the pregnant women. Musical nodes help in better development of ears and brain of the baby. The vibration generated by the sound waves arising from chanting of Mantras promotes the development of foetus. The songs, music and poems that the child gets to hear in the mother’s womb, it remembers the same even after birth & has greater liking for them. 5. Reading during Pregnancy- Pregnant women should read good books and religious literature. Epics like the Ramayan and Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta, biography of freedom fighters, scientist, leaders, inspirational and motivational stories help to develop excellent virtues in the child. This has a deep and long lasting impact on the child’s mind due to which it grows up. It does not get overwhelmed by any adversity and is able to courageously overcome any difficulties in life that it may face. Postnatal Care The mother who has just given birth to baby is termed as “Sutika” in Ayurveda and the care is termed as “Sutika paricharya” Vata will be immensely increased soon after delivery. The digestion power and immunity will also be very low in the mother. Hence special care to balance Vata and to strengthen the mother is very necessary. She should take much needed rest, care ,nutritional diet at least for 6 to12 weeks and let her body regain all the lost energy and bring the imbalanced Doshas to normalcy. During this period the expanded uterus shrinks back to normal position. Ligaments, muscles and tendons associated with uterus starts gaining back the lost power. According to Ayurveda special diet, abhyanga with medicated oil like Dhanwantaram oil, medication (some special herbal decoctions) help to rebuild mother’s health naturally. Suvarnaprashan The process in which Swarna bhasma (ash of gold) with other herbal extracts taken in the form of semi liquid and given to the children through their mouth is called as Suvarnaprashana, Swarnaprashana, Swarnamritha Prashana or Swarnabindu Prashana. It’s a unique method of immunization which helps the children to boost up the intellectual power and to promote non specific immunity in the body. Suvarnaprashana has been traditionally practised across India as recipe for child growth, memory enhancement and also to promote longevity. Benefits of SuvarnaPrashan 1. Stronger immune system 2. Enhances body strength 3. Boosts grasping power, analysis power, memory, intelligence, concentration 4. Improves digestive power 5. Tones up skin colour and texture 6. Protects body from different seasonal changes and allergies. Contact for more information and book an appointment for Garbhasanskar workshop and counselling.
